Fifty experts and professionals from the sector will meet at the event, which will combine face-to-face talks and streaming

On 16, 17 and 18 September, Lugo will host the First Congress on Experiential Tourism, which will be attended by more than 50 experts and professionals from the sector with the aim of discussing the current situation of the tourism sector and the search for solutions and tools that help to restore travellers’ confidence.

In this first edition, the event will combine the face-to-face format, with conferences in the Pazo de San Marcos, and the virtual one, offering the possibility of following the talks by streaming. In addition, as an extension of the Congress, on September 19 and 20 the LugoExperience event will be held, which will include cultural, gastronomic, environmental and adventure activities, aimed at those attending and at the people of Lugo. The commitment to sustainable and experiential tourism, which generates wealth for the territory, is perfectly adapted to the model of city and province that Lugo is promoting, within the framework of the work promoted by Lugo County Council to turn the province into a multi-experiential and intelligent destination – the province of Lugo is a member of the Intelligent Tourist Destination Network.

The First National Congress on Experiential Tourism will be a meeting point for professionals, entrepreneurs, technicians, local producers, students, guides, researchers, media and fans of tourism and culture in general. Based on the experiential nature of the event, in addition to the presentations, special emphasis will be placed on complementary activities through networking, workshops, field visits and dynamic actions with the attendees. Thus, among other activities, an Introduction to the Creation of Leisure and Tourism Experiences Conference will be held.
