The organizers of the international tourism event in Madrid highlight the record number of visitors to the Galician space and the high level of activity in the business area managed by the Galicia Tourism Cluster.
Now that enough time has passed to look back, the organizers of FITUR are taking stock of the last edition of the international tourism fair held in Madrid at the end of January. One of their main conclusions is the important role played there by the Galician representation at the stand promoted by the Galicia Tourism Agency, where the Galicia Tourism Cluster played a major role. Thus, FITUR officials point out that Galicia’s space has been “a benchmark for the tourism sector” and that this year it has broken attendance records.
In addition, they highlight the great activity displayed by industry professionals from the space reserved for business at the stand and managed by the Cluster, hosting 400 meetings in which more than a thousand people took part. “These figures reflect the boom in tourism and the good prospects for 2023,” they point out.
The image of Galicia as a sustainable and quality tourist destination conveyed by the Galician space, awarded precisely in the “sustainable stand” category, is another of the aspects highlighted by FITUR. They also highlight the great interest in Galicia’s MICE tourism offerings at the fair, as well as the Galicia Destino Sostible Product Club launched by the Cluster with the collaboration of the Xunta de Galicia.
