The Galician Tourism Cluster is organising a workshop on 29 October in Bilbao to show Basque travel agencies the product of active tourism in the Galician community.

Galicia continues to bet on its positioning as a destination for active tourism and for this purpose organizes on October 29th a workshop in Bilbao to capture, disseminate and promote its product in new issuing markets, thus working to consolidate an attractive public-private initiative that shows the potential that active tourism in Galician territory.

“Workshop Galicia Active Destination 19” will be held the hotel Barceló Bilbao Nervión Bilbao with the aim of connecting the companies that are part of the products developed in Galicia under the brand Galicia Active Destination with marketing agents in northern Spain, thus promoting trade relations that promote the arrival of active tourism users from the southern strip of the country.

The event will start with a presentation of the tourism products that are part of the brand Galicia Active Destination and will try to move the minds of participants to leading locations for outdoor sports in Galicia. After an aperitif, inspired by Galician gastronomy, the networking phase will take place, in which companies providing active tourism services will be able to talk directly with service providers and create ad hoc experiences for their company and customers. The Workshop will end with the draw of one of the GDA products for 2 people with the aim of motivating an increase in participation, but also the link with the brand of marketing agencies in northern Spain,
encouraging the establishment of commercial networks between the Basque and Galician tourist industries. Galician companies that participate in any of the products developed within the framework of Galicia Active Destination can participate in the day, applying for a place through this link.  The places are limited and the registration period ends on Friday 25 October.

“Galicia Active Destination” is the brand with which the Galician Tourism Cluster has been working since 2015 with the aim of promoting and marketing active tourism packages. More than 40 companies make up 14 consolidated tourism products, which are carried out by the 4 Galician provinces, and which have as their backbone the practice of active tourism in an incomparable natural setting. This product has been enhanced with the creation of a website and a mobile application that serves to show all options to both issuing agencies and the final public.
