The Hostal de los Reyes Católicos hosted the fifth edition of the Proturga Forum, promoted by this association of tourism professionals in Galicia. On this occasion, the theme was focused on quality tourism, the different labels that accredit it and the weight of opinions in the existing online platforms. Thus, after the opening ceremony attended by our secretary, Cesáreo Pardal, accompanied by the director of CETUR, Miguel Pazos Outón and members of Proturga, two round tables were held on this subject.
The first one, moderated by Patricia Furelos, managing partner in Guiados Pontevedra, a company distinguished with SICTED, was focused on the different existing tourism quality labels and had the participation of Mari Cruz Cádiz, technical director of the ICTE (Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality); Javier de Miguel González, technical director of Galicia Calidade; María Luisa López, manager of Tourism Ferrol and Beatriz Castro At the second table, which revolved around online opinions, the participants were Francisco Graña, responsible for Quality of Apartamentos Rodeiramar (Cangas); Andrés Mazaira Castro, professor at the University of Vigo; Susana Formoso, from Nós Comunicación; Mariña Bello, Marketing & PR Tee Travel; Agustín Sanoguera, photographer and Sabela Montero, president of the Association.
Finally, the Forum also served to award its annual Proturga prize, which distinguishes public or private initiative that bets for quality in the tourism sector, and this year fell to the consultant Emilio Cuiñas, from Autoxiro.
