Since Galicia Calidade, the mark of guarantee that certifies the quality of the products and/or services that, by their elaboration in Galicia, by their raw material or Galician design, deserve this distinction, continues adding incorporations in the chapter of tourist services. A total of 44 establishments already have the brand Galicia Calidade Lecer, which certifies the quality of tourist establishments in Galicia. The last two additions have been a restaurant in Ourense, Comonacasa and an accommodation, Finca Goleta, in Lugo.
And is that this brand covers hotels, restaurants and rural tourism accommodation that meet the requirements of the Regulations for use of the mark and meet the requirements set out in its specifications, such as to be registered in the REAT, have a minimum age of 2 years or have the certificate Q Tourism Quality or, failing that, the seal of an ISO 9001 and the commitment to quality tourism (SICTED).
In addition, these establishments must pass an audit that guarantees that the gastronomic offer has a significant number of Galician recipes and that the preparations are made with raw materials covered by the corresponding seals of certification of origin (D.O, IGP), as well as ensuring the elevation of the quality of services.
The search for excellence determines the final objective of this type of seal, with which establishments acquire a commitment not only to their clients, but also to the professionals who form part of their team and to the environment in which the establishment is located, thus contributing to sustainable economic development.
