The Official Gazette of Galicia contains the resolution of 5 April 2019 establishing the regulatory bases for the granting, on a competitive basis, of subsidies to rural tourism establishments, hotels, tourist apartments and housing, tourist camps, travel agencies, cafes, bars, restaurants and complementary tourist service companies, in the processes of certification, monitoring and renewal of the relevant UNE standards leading to obtaining and / or maintenance of the Q mark for Tourism Quality of the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE). The deadline for submission of applications is one month, so it ends on 13 June.

The purpose of the call for applications is to subsidise both the costs of the external audit of certification, monitoring and/or renewal of the system (excluding implementation costs) and the rights to use the Q mark in 2019.

In order to access these grants, the SME must be registered in the REAT. The maximum percentage of aid over the eligible investment will be calculated based on the score reached by the submitted projects, as detailed below:

The grants awarded may not exceed the following ceilings:

– 2,000 euros for the processes of 1st certification and/or renewal of the Q mark and 1,000 euros for monitoring processes.

– For applications whose external audit is carried out through the multi-site modality, the amount subsidised for this concept will be a maximum of 3,000 euros for processes of 1st certification and/or renewal of the Q mark and 2,000 euros for follow-up processes.

Regarding this administrative procedure, standardized documentation or additional information may be obtained from the Galician Tourism Agency, through the official website of the Galician Tourism Agency, on the website https://sed.junta.gal/portada , by entering the procedure code TU970La in the search engine or through the telephone numbers 981 54 63 63 and 981 54 74 04 of the said agency at the e-mail address fomento.turismo@xunta.gal.
