Accommodations and travel agencies interested in participating in this call endowed with 1.5 million euros will be able to submit their applications from 9 March.

Xunta, through the Galicia Tourism Agency, already has ready the call for this year 2022 of the tourist voucher “Quedamos en Galicia”. As published today in the Official Journal of Galicia, tomorrow, March 9, will open the deadline for companies in the tourism sector interested in participating to submit their applications through the electronic headquarters of the Xunta: https://sede.xunta.gal/portada

The text published in the DOG recalls that the “Quedamos en Galicia” voucher was born in 2020 as an example of public-private collaboration and a strategic alliance between Galicia Tourism and the Galicia Tourism Cluster, the results of which were positively valued by the sector since it allowed counteracting the consequences of the covid crisis and increasing demand. The fact that the pandemic is still present has prompted this new call, which is endowed with a contribution of 1.5 million euros by the Xunta and could be increased even more with more regional resources and other entities that want to join the initiative.

The tourist voucher consists of a prepaid card that beneficiaries can use to pay for part of the services they hire in tourist establishments and travel agencies that join the programme through the call that will open tomorrow. Businesses interested in participating can request more information by calling 900 815 334 or writing to info-galiciadestinoseguro@xunta.gal
