The next 23 and 24 May, the Xunta de Galicia organizes a training day for professionals in the tourism sector in the National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of the Atlantic Islands. The objective of this initiative is to make professionals related to the tourism sector aware of the natural and cultural values ​​of this protected space, with the aim of disseminating the information as precisely as possible.

 

The conference is aimed at technical staff, informants and active tourist guides with an interest in learning about the values ​​of the National Park, its operation and aspects related to visitor management in this protected space.

 

The first day there will be an online phase in which theoretical issues about the Atlantic Islands National Park will be discussed, and which will end with a test. On the second day, the face-to-face phase will take place on the island of Sálvora, with which the contents discussed the previous day will be contrasted in a practical way. People who attend all the training and pass the basic knowledge test will obtain an official certificate of attendance.

 

This conference will provide tourism sector workers with tools and resources that will allow them to inform potential visitors to the National Park about aspects such as services, regulations or management. In addition, it also provides a direct communication channel with the National Park, offering an open communication space to propose suggestions and improvement actions.
