• Within the framework of the International Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellbeing Fair, the IV International Congress on Water and Health is also organized.

Uruguay will become the epicenter of international thermalism for three days. The 21st edition of Termatalia will be held in this country. The objective of this fair, born in the thermal capital of Ourense in 1997, is to act as a dynamic agent of the health tourism sector worldwide.

The event became the meeting point between the European spa tradition and the potential of Latin America, in a space of coexistence where new synergies are created. The Ministry of Tourism of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay recognized the importance of this fair, declaring it an Event of Tourist Interest, which will benefit the country’s tourism and thermal sector.

During the fair, different professional actions will be carried out, such as the IV International Congress on Water and Health, a workshop with tour operators, a specialized press mission, business rounds, a meeting on Public Thermalism Policies, a familiarization trip, and various training courses.

The congress encourages the exchange of experiences in the business, institutional and social spheres in order to promote the Thermal and Wellness Tourism market and open large marketing channels. In 2023, Termatalia will become a business, training and networking center bringing together professionals in the sector from more than 25 countries.

The last edition of the congress, held in Ourense in September 2022, the congress had 140 exhibitors, 25 participating countries, 25 specialized tour operators, 70 international speakers and more than 6,300 professional visitors.
