  • The awards ceremony took place during the I Barbanza Arousa Tourism Gala, in which the president of the CTG, Cesáreo Pardal, participated.

 

Last Wednesday, the Pazo de Goiáns, in Boiro, hosted the I Barbanza Arousa Tourism Gala, in an event in which up to 36 SICTED diplomas (from the Comprehensive System of Tourism Quality in Destination) were awarded to companies, services and locations of the region.

 

The Barbanza Arousa destination, made up of the municipalities of Boiro, Rianxo, A Pobra do Caramiñal and Ribeira, joined the SICTED project in 2023. Since its journey with the project began, a total of 41 tourist services have joined, of which Finally 36 managed to present themselves to the evaluation committee. The community was highlighted in one of the publications of the Secretary of State for Tourism with a special mention to the Barbanza Arousa destination as a success story at the national level in the implementation of this seal.

 

Pedro Blanco, Government Delegate in Galicia, participated in the event; María Rivas, Subdelegate of the Government in Coruña; Gonzalo Trenor, Delegate of the Xunta de Galicia in Coruña; Xosé Regueira, Vice President of the Provincial Council of A Coruña and Deputy for Tourism; José Ramón Romero, president of the Commonwealth and mayor of Boiro; Luís Pérez, mayor of Ribeira; José Carlos Vidal, mayor of A Pobra do Caramiñal; Julián Bustelo, mayor of Rianxo; Cesáreo Pardal, President of the Tourism Cluster; Fátima Cachafeiro, Manager of the Commonwealth; technicians of the Commonwealth and the City Councils; business associations and certified companies.

 

The president of the CTG recognized the community and the businessmen and tourism services of these regions for their involvement with the SICTED initiative. “The delivery of these new SICTED certificates shows that we are on the right path and encourages us to continue working in this commitment to the tourism quality with which we are recognized inside and outside our borders,” Pardal added during his speech.

The companies, services and tourist locations distinguished for their commitment to tourism quality were: A Pousada da Galiza Imaxinaria, Adega Entre Os Ríos, Aldea Os Muíños, Casa Rural Laxido, Casa da Posta do Valmaior, Hotel Rural Entre Os Ríos, O Cruceiro , Os Petroglifos, Apartadiño, Hostal Los Trillizos, Café Ágora, Casa O Soqueiro, La Casita de la Playa, Barbanza Archaeological Center, Museum of Digital Engraving Arts Foundation, Valle-Inclán Museum, Boiro Nautical Club, Nautical Club Deportivo Barraña de Boiro, Marina Pobra, Curral do Marqués, Nojira, Pazo Torre Rianxo, Malecón Tourist Office (Ribeira), A Lombiña-Cabío Beach, Coroso Beach, Os Ares Beach, Taxi nº7 Boiro, Taxi nº5 Boiro and Vértigo Aventura.
