The possibility of disconnecting from daily stress and routine, among the main reasons for choosing a destination after the pandemic in 2022.

The latest report carried out by the company Booking at the end of 2021 reveals that, after the pandemic, 56% of travellers are committed to sustainable travel in the future. This includes as a deciding factor when it comes to choosing options that allow them to disconnect from daily stress and routine. It is no coincidence that in 2019, burnout, or the state of constant mental and physical exhaustion caused by the overload of daily tasks, was officially recognised by the World Health Organisation.

This change towards new ways of conceiving life and, consequently, of travel choices, is leading some hoteliers to design offers aligned with conscious travel, a trend to be taken into account in the coming years.

Unique locations, respect for the environment through sustainable construction, or the design of idyllic experiences that allow travellers to escape from routine, are the points that coincide in these proposals that make disconnection the new indicator of luxury tourism.

The Hotel Atmos opened its doors in 2021 with the aim of creating a space in which to let the senses flow through a unique avant-garde design open to the natural environment where it is located, the Serra de Outes, making the tranquillity of the area and contact with nature its main focal points of attraction. It is committed to sustainable architecture and a twist on the concept of luxury tourism as a synonym for disconnection and living experiences.

From Silleda, Casa Cacheiro has been making the sensations of peace and well-being its hallmarks for more than 25 years. Surrounded by a natural enclave full of green areas, natural waterfalls and river beaches in the heart of the Deza region, in this rural accommodation they place great value on the environment that surrounds them as a facilitator of moments of relaxation. They have the Q Certificate for Tourist Quality and the Galicia Calidade seal, and are a place of reference for those who are looking for quality disconnection time in rural tourism.

At the Hotel & Thalasso Louxo La Toja, the seawater and Thalassotherapy treatments have made them a favourite choice for those who visit the Rías Baixas with the intention of escaping from stress. And it does so, moreover, with a strong commitment to sustainability. They are holders of the Ecostars Seal, a globally recognised certificate that measures the environmental impact of the accommodation.
