Activities

The Compostela Hotel and Catering Association is promoting this event organised with the sponsorship of the Xunta de Galicia and the City Council of Santiago, and the collaboration of numerous companies and the Galicia Tourism Cluster.

For the second consecutive year, Santiago de Compostela will become for a few days an essential meeting point for those interested in the world of wine and everything related to it, including wine tourism. The Compostela Hotel and Catering Association has programmed for the 27th and 28th of March the second edition of the Revera Vinum Galician Wine Encounter, which will be held again in the facilities of the San Francisco monument hotel and which will bring together more than 500 references from 200 different wineries representing the various Designations of Origin and Protected Geographical Indications of this land.

Escenoset is in charge of the organisation of this event sponsored by the Xunta and the Santiago City Council and in which numerous companies and the Galicia Tourism Cluster also collaborate, as highlighted by the president of Hostelería Compostela, Thor Rodríguez, at the press conference to present the programme which he gave a few days ago together with the councillor for the Presidency, Institutional Relations, Tourism and Festivities, Sindo Guinarte, and the director of Galicia Tourism, Nava Castro.

The programme includes an exhibition area, a Wine Tunnel (open from 11 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.), tastings, workshops, tastings, round tables and presentations by sommeliers, oenologists and specialised journalists. In addition, as a prelude to this Revera Vinum, from 17 March, some twenty establishments from Compostela will be taking part in Galicia en Copas, allowing their customers to enter a prize draw to win various prizes and experiences. This activity, as well as the wine tastings and pairing dinners offered by some of these establishments, will run until 31 March.
