  • ‘IA Talks: Conversations on Artificial Intelligence for the tourism sector in Galicia’ is specialized training to enhance the digital transformation of Galician tourism SMEs.
  • It will take place from September 24 to 25 at the Higher Hospitality Center of Galicia.

On September 24 and 25, a new edition of ‘IA Talks: Conversations about AI for Tourism Sector Professionals’ will take place, a training event focused on the adoption and practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the tourism field. Organized within the framework of the Galician Tourism Training Plan 2024, this face-to-face course seeks to provide companies with innovative tools to improve the management of their products and services in an increasingly digitalized and competitive purchase.

AI as a driver of innovation for tourism SMEs

Aimed at entrepreneurs, managers and department heads of the Galician tourism sector, this training activity aims to train participants in the use of emerging technologies related to AI. Through two intensive days, attendees will be able to learn about the latest trends in the use of artificial intelligence, develop their own technological solutions and participate in practical workshops. With this training, Galicia seeks to place its companies at the forefront of digital transformation in the tourism sector.

The first day, titled “The Power of AI”, will focus on current AI trends in tourism and offer a hands-on workshop on engineering prompts in AI, using tools such as OpenAI and Google. On the second day, “AI Laboratory”, the creation of chatbots and programming of GPT systems will be explored.

The event will feature the presence of Tirso Maldonado, information technology expert and managing partner of Socialtec, who will guide attendees through the different sessions. With more than 25 years of experience in digital business, Maldonado will bring his strategic vision closer so that tourism companies can adapt to the new technological paradigm.

The sessions will take place on September 24 and 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The number of places is limited to 75. You can process registration and consult the complete program at this link.
