The Galicia Tourism Cluster and the companies Tee Travel and Interrías participated in the Spain Tourism Summit held in Miami.
Opening up new business opportunities and increasing the visibility of Galicia as a tourist destination were the objectives of the participation of the Galicia Tourism Cluster and the companies Tee Travel and Viajes Interrías in the Spain Tourism Summit, which was held in Miami from 30 March to 1 April.
A total of 28 Spanish companies and representatives of 18 destinations took part in the event, organised by Turespaña, and were able to present their cultural, gastronomic and premium tourism products and services, among others, to 60 American buyers.
In addition to the companies Tee Travel and Interrías, 16 other Galician travel agencies, tour operators and incoming companies were present at the meeting thanks to a catalogue prepared by the Galicia Tourism Cluster that summarises their main services.
These conferences were the first to be held in the US market since the beginning of the pandemic and allowed to activate, increase and promote the marketing of Spanish and Galician tourism in an important outbound market and to position itself as a quality, safe and sustainable tourist destination.
The meeting began on Wednesday 30th with a presentation on the North American market aimed at the Spanish participants to help them plan their commercial strategy, and to be able to present their offer adapted to the profile of the buyer.
On Thursday and Friday, each company had up to 8-minute appointments to show their proposals to the American buyers, while the destinations were able to make presentations of up to 5 minutes in length. In addition, on the first evening, a thematic evening on the Night of San Juan was planned. The days were completed with working lunches and other activities to strengthen the interaction between Spanish and American companies.
