• Galicia, a “Green Spain” partner, will showcase its tourist attractions in New York

The brand’s four partners (Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, and the Basque Country) will participate in the “Norte Diem” event to introduce their tourism offerings to the North American market.

The US is a priority market for our region, as it is the country with the second highest number of visitors and also the first in terms of pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago.

In 2024, nearly 400,000 Americans visited Galicia, and so far, this year, 33,180 pilgrims have already been recorded.

The event, which is supported by the Spanish Tourism Office in New York, is aimed at travel agencies, tour operators, digital content creators, specialized press, and gastronomy-related figures, who will be able to sample a menu featuring dishes and products unique to each region.

The “Green Spain” tourism brand was created in 1989, in collaboration with Turespaña, with the aim of jointly promoting the offerings of the four northern Spanish regions abroad.
