• Six Galician Agencies and ‘Galicia Sustainable Destination’ Presented Their Offerings to Thirty Irish Tour Operators and Specialized Press

The Galicia Tourism Cluster held a professional workshop in Dublin on November 18th with the aim of strengthening Galicia’s presence in the Irish market and further expanding business opportunities for the Galician tourism sector. The event brought together some thirty Irish tour operators, as well as specialized media, interested in discovering new proposals and experiences related to the Galicia destination.

Six Galician inbound tour operators participated in the meeting: Viajes InterRías, Galicia Incoming – Viajes Viloria, Galiwonders, Tee Travel, VIO Viajes and Bluscus. Alongside them, the ‘Galicia Sustainable Destination’ product club presented its offerings focused on responsible experiences aligned with sustainability values.

During the opening, the Cluster’s president, Cesáreo Pardal, highlighted the existing link between Galicia and Ireland, as well as the diversity of Galicia’s offerings, emphasizing the sector’s commitment to a sustainable tourism model. Laura Pena, director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin, also participated in the event and spoke positively about the cooperation with a market that maintains a growing interest in Galicia.

The meeting allowed Galician companies to hold numerous meetings with tour operators interested in expanding their product offerings and exploring new opportunities related to the Camino de Santiago, nature, culture, gastronomy, and active tourism.

The workshop also included a raffle of experiences donated by the participating companies themselves, with the aim of encouraging Irish tour operators to travel to Galicia and experience firsthand the variety of available options.

The Irish market shows a remarkable evolution: according to data from the Pilgrim’s Office, in 2024 around 10,000 Irish pilgrims received the Compostela, compared to 6,600 registered in 2022, which shows a notable growth in interest in the Camino and in Galicia as a destination.

With this workshop, the Cluster is carrying out one of its final international promotion activities of 2025, just a few weeks after the trade mission to WTM London, where 26 professionals from the Galician tourism sector participated.
