The Xunta and the nightlife entrepreneurs agreed to set up a working table to jointly advance the protocol for the reactivation of the sector when the health situation allows it. The working group will advance in the phases and conditions of the protocol to reopen the nightlife venues with all the security guarantees.
In this working group, the health data on the epidemiological evolution of covid-19 will be analyzed on a weekly basis and the conditions and phases will be established so that the reopening of the premises can be carried out with all the safety guarantees when it is allowed. The measures adopted within the framework of this working group will be carried out in coordination with the clinical committee.
In the economic field, the Galician Government also informed nightlife entrepreneurs of the support mechanisms in terms of financing that can be made available to them to help alleviate the economic effects of the pandemic on the sector and reminded them of the commitment of the Xunta that the terraces can be opened with a maximum capacity of 75% and only consumption and table service can be carried out. The tables will have a maximum occupancy of 10 people and the closing time will be at 01.00 hours, without being allowed access to any customer from 00.00 hours.
The closure of nightlife establishments, i.e. discotheques, dance halls and bars, was approved for Spain as a whole by the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the autonomous communities, in order to contain the advance of the virus and give priority to health safety.
