The conference centers of Santiago, A Coruña and Vigo will have virtual sets, as an alternative to face-to-face events

Reactivating tourism for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) is the objective of the agreement signed today in Vigo between the First Vice-Presidency of the Xunta and the Department of Tourism and the Association of Professional Conference Organizers (OPC).
The Xunta will enable a budget of 123,400 euros for initiatives such as providing the congress centers in Vigo (Mar de Vigo), A Coruña (Palexco) and Santiago with virtual sets that can be used as an alternative to face-to-face events. An economic fund for contracting spaces and venues will also be established so that no call has to be canceled.
The Xunta has also supported MICE tourism this year with 650,000 euros as a continuation of a collaboration scheme that had already been developed in recent years. On this occasion, due to the situation in the sector, the public contribution increased by 20 percent.
