The Rías Baixas Wine Route will be invested as a ambassador 2022 at the gala organised by the Provincial Council.

The Provincial Council of Pontevedra will celebrate on Thursday 17th March the new edition of the Provincial Gala of Tourism, a great party that will serve to pay tribute to the professionals, the companies and the different initiatives of the sector. This will be the case of the Rías Baixas Wine Route, which will be invested as Rías Baixas 2022 Ambassador, an honorary title held last year by Michelin-starred chefs. In addition, during the evening the SICTED diplomas will be awarded to the 163 companies in the province that have joined or renewed their commitment to the Integral System of Tourism Quality in Destinations.

The gala will be hosted by the Vigo-born actress Jazmín Abuín and the main theme will be the Love Rías Baixas tourism campaign and the testimonies of different people from other countries who decided to stay and live in the province after discovering it. There will also be music, performed by the successful group Tanxugueiras, and a light, sound and acrobatics show by Pablo Méndez Performances, as well as several audiovisual pieces that will show the landscapes, heritage, companies and people that represent the tourist destination of Pontevedra.

The Mar de Vigo Auditorium will once again be the setting for this tourism festival, which can also be followed via streaming on the Provincial Council’s website and social networks. “This Gala is the great celebration of tourism in the province and of a sector committed to quality. It is the most important tourism event in the province and in Galicia, and one of the most powerful in the whole of Spain,” said the provincial president, Carmela Silva, at the presentation of the programme for the evening.
