It will be held from 3 to 5 October in Barcelona and will focus on tourism governance.
Speeches, presentations and round tables will coexist in the programme of events with working meetings.
The countdown has begun for the second Turespaña Convention, the discussion forum to be held on 3, 4 and 5 October at the Barcelona International Convention Centre, an initiative of the Spanish Tourism Institute (Turespaña) together with Barcelona Tourism and Barcelona City Council.
The three-day event will focus on the tourism governance and will address, among other issues, the development of competitiveness and the quest for sustainability. The meeting aims to serve as a meeting point for sharing experiences and debating the evolution and future of the sector. In addition, the convention aims to contribute to strengthening public-private collaboration, which is why professionals from the private sector will also have a place.
More than twenty papers, round tables and presentations make up one of the two blocks of activities into which the programme of this second Turespaña Convention has been divided. The second block of activities brings together the various working meetings that will be held by the heads of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Turespaña and the Spanish tourism councillors abroad with the heads of destinations and tourism companies.
In addition to providing the most relevant data on the main issuing markets, the convention will provide a preview of the planning and activities planned by Turespaña for the coming year.
