It was present at the workshops organised by the Provincial Council of Pontevedra, where some thirty companies and entities from the province were able to establish contacts with more than 160 Andalusian and Basque operators.
Two cities with great potential for the Galician tourism market were chosen by the Provincial Council of Pontevedra to hold workshops and promote the Rías Baixas destination there in recent days with the “aim of promoting seasonality and competitiveness, and increase the attraction of visitors in issuing markets of interest”. The Galicia Tourism Cluster also joined the initiative, which was present in both Seville and Bilbao together with thirty companies and entities from the provincial tourism sector: accommodation, restaurants, wineries, museums and other businesses from the complementary offer sector.
The two workshops held in the Andalusian capital (on Wednesday 19th) and the Basque city (on Thursday 20th) enabled the representatives of the companies Alda Hotels, Always Spain Incoming, Bodegas Terras Gauda, Casa do Sear,Celtravel, Circuitos Galicia, Galicia Villas, Gran Talaso Hotel Sanxenxo, Hotel Attica21 Vigo, Hotel Bahía de Vigo, Hotel Ciudad de Vigo y Hotel Axis Vigo, Hotel Oca Ipanema, Hotel Pirámide, Hotel San Luis, Hotel Spa Nanín Playa, Hotel Talaso Atlántico, Hotel Villa Covelo, Hotel Zenit Vigo, Paco & Lola, Pazo Los Escudos Hotel Spa & Resort, Sailway, Simply Galicia, Tee Travel, Viajes Interrías and Vio Viajes, and Pontevedra Museum, the Castle of Soutomaior, the Castle of Sobroso and the Rías Baixas Wine Route to establish contacts with more than 160 local wholesalers and marketers.
The programme of both workshops, part of the Strategic Tourism Plan 2021-23, also included a musical performance by the Pontevedra-born artist Cora Velasco and a gastronomic tasting prepared by the chef Adrián Albino, head of the Niño Corvo restaurant, with products from the Pontevedra designations of origin.
The president Cesáreo Pardal and the vice-president Jesús Picallo represented the Cluster in these activities, in which the director of the entity and president of the Consortium of Tourist Entrepreneurs of Sanxenxo, Alfonso Martínez, was also present. The president of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra, Carmela Silva, led the delegation in Bilbao.
