Galicia will be one of the most sought-after destinations for Spanish travelers in 2026. This is according to SiteMinder’s Changing Traveller Report 2026, a study that places the Galician region second nationally, only behind Andalusia, with 22% of travelers intending to visit.

The report reveals that Spanish travelers maintain a clear preference for domestic destinations. More than half will combine trips within and outside the country, but 31% plan to travel exclusively within Spain. In this context, Galicia positions itself as an attractive alternative for family getaways and couples’ trips, as well as for those seeking nature, gastronomy, culture, and wellness.
