Promoted by Turespaña and Tourism of Galicia, the event will allow to generate B2B meetings with 55 Galician tourism companies while at the same time turning our territory into the epicentre of tourism compolite

Workshop, guided tours and conferences will take place until Sunday in this international tourist meeting

Between 4 and 8 October, Galicia hosts Spain Reloaded, an international professional meeting that will bring together in our territory for the first time more than 160 Tour Operators from 15 countries, among which are the main markets for the Galician tourism sector. This is a unique opportunity to generate B2B meetings with Galician tourism companies through a workshop that will take place in the Gran Hotel de La Toja and will occupy the first of the days that Tour Operators have planned to develop in our territory.

Driven by Turespaña and Tourism of Galicia, the initiative also seeks to boost the degree of knowledge of the cosmopolitan tourist, who bets on experiences linked to local culture and the quiet enjoyment of its gastronomy, culture and heritage. A segment with a great capacity for growth that fits into the tourism model promoted in the 2020 Strategy as it is a great ally of seasonalization and differentiation for Galician tourism.

This is why, in addition to the workshop, Spain Reloaded includes conferences and round tables in which sustainability and marketing will be debated, demand segmentation policies in mature European markets or the need to improve economic and social sustainability to boost cosmopolitan clientele, among other issues, which will be addressed by prominent speakers such as the CEO of Turespaña, Manuel Butler; the Key Account Director of GfK

During these days, there will also be the presence of Javier Rodríguez Destrezas, Deputy Director General of Strategy and Services to the Tourism Sector of Turespaña; Féliz Paz García-Diz, Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Miami; the founder of Made fuere Spain and Portugal, Virginia Irurita Bertolo; Francisco González López, President of the Galician Tourism Cluster; and Francisco González López, Deputy Director General of Food Promotion of the Ministry of Agriculture. In this sense, the president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Francisco González, who will take part in a round table on sustainability, stressed the importance of holding events of this nature in Galicia:”it is a great opportunity for Tour Operators to know firsthand what we can offer them and that we can tell them the best of Galicia,”he explained.

The conference will be completed with the participation of tour operators and attendees of these professional days in one of the nine routes designed by Tourism of Galicia so that they can get to know the Galician Community, visiting the coast and inland, some urban destinations and  also knowing the heritage of some of the routes of the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago.
