The Cluster has participated in the Tourism Fair of Galicia with its own space and facilitating the access of Galician companies to the contracting exchange.

The eleventh edition of Turexpo Galicia was held in Silleda between 2 and 5 June as part of the 44th Abanca Semana Verde de Galicia International Fair in an atmosphere of optimism about the summer season. The participation of the Galicia Tourism Cluster has focused on the promotion of Galicia as a destination, with an exhibition space and collaborating in the distribution of 25 passes to companies that have participated in the contracting exchange. A total of 35 operators from 11 countries were present at the fair, also contributing to the internationalisation strategy that our tourism has promoted over the last year.

The companies have been able to show their tourism products and services at Turexpo, both to operators in the tourism sector, fostering commercial links, and also to potential visitors, who mainly visited the facilities of the Silleda exhibition centre during the weekend.

It has been possible to see how many of these operators have expressed their interest in sustainable tourism products and services (Way of St. James, ecotourism, gastronomic tourism, accessible tourism, …) highlighting the importance of preserving our environment by those who visit us.

More than 130 companies took part in the contracting exchange and met with 35 national and international tour operators, generating an agenda with more than 2,100 appointments, according to the organisers. As a result, it has become clear that this year has very good prospects, generating a sense of optimism among the participants.
