Diffusion tool
It is a catalogue created ad hoc with the collaboration of the company specialized in tourist services “Autoxiro” that includes the thermal offer of Galicia, leader community in Europe of thermal tourism. The catalogue includes the offer of Galician spas, the one related to medical tourism offering information on hospitals and clinics as well as mixed projects such as the El Carmen Medical Centre and its WaterHealth project which includes recovery balneotherapy treatments for patients undergoing various surgeries.

The guide will be used as a tool to disseminate the offer of health tourism in Galicia to help position it as a destination for health and medical tourism in a market that presents high growth figures and great possibilities for the future.

Completion of the project
To carry out the objective of promoting Galicia as a destination for health and medical tourism, the three entities involved in this project launched a series of three actions that also promote the complementary offer, of which healthy and sustainable gastronomy or trade are part. The first one was carried out in the framework of the Turexpo fair in Silleda, a Healthy Gastronomy Workshop given by the Galician chef Julio Mato del Río, while the second one was held in the castle of Maceda where Chef Carlos Parra gave a showcooking.
