Thirty professionals are taking part today in the WTM in London, an essential event for the tourism sector.

The Galician Tourism Cluster once again participates in the World Travel Market in London by the hand of Galician Tourism to continue promoting the internationalization of the Galician tourism sector.

November 5, 2018.- About thirty professionals from the Galician tourism sector participate from today in the World Travel Market in London, which is held until next Wednesday in the British capital within the trade mission promoted by the Galician Tourism Cluster Turismo de Galicia hand in hand with Galicia Tourism. Accommodation and turoperación fundamentally compose the commercial mission of this year to this fair, one of the most important appointments for the tourist sector at international level, that throughout these days will maintain an agenda of contacts with British turoperators with the objective to continue working in the internationalization of the Galician tourist sector.

The objective is that this commercial mission contributes to increase synergies between the own professionals and to foment a first contact for those who want to begin to work with Galicia looking for authentic destinations that can offer different experiences and of quality linked to the Green Spain. The Galician tourist offer is made known within the space with which Galicia has in the stand of Turespaña, as is becoming customary.

“We continue promoting this type of actions, in the line in which we have been working since the creation of the Galician Tourism Cluster, strengthening relationships and increasing the degree of knowledge that the British tour operator has of the Galicia Destination,” explained the president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, who stressed the importance of working with a mature market such as the British one, which seeks a specialized and quality tourism.

The British market is the sixth international market for Galicia and this summer has experienced a decline in the number of passengers, following a similar behavior of contention that is living the rest of the State. In the case of Galicia the fall this summer compared to the same period in 2017 was 13%.
