The magazine Ejecutivos, one of the oldest newspapers in the Spanish economic press, presented its Galicia Executive Awards at an event held at the Círculo de Empresarios de Galicia in Vigo. In this eighth edition of its awards 14 were the winners, among Galician businessmen and companies, who received this distinction in different categories in an event that closed the mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero.
The Cluster Tourism of Galicia was distinguished in the category of Business Initiative “for its evident progress in the professionalization of the sector and the creation of a tourist product for the destination”, according to the jury that chose the winners of these awards that recognize aspects such as the trajectory, the service to the client, the good work and the initiatives for the consolidation of a strong and quality business fabric. The award was collected by the president of the CTG, Francisco González, from the hands of the president of the Port Authority of Vigo, Enrique Veiga. González highlighted that this is an award to all the associates who, with their efforts, are contributing not only to the construction of the Cluster but also to a sustainable, modern and future-oriented tourism sector for Galicia.
In addition to the Cluster of Tourism of Galicia, the winners of this year’s Executive Awards were Ignacio González, CEO of Nueva Pescanova, as “Executive of the Year”; Babé y Cía, Business of the Year Award; Francisco Cal, Professional Career Award; Pérez Rumbao, Family Business Award; Sivsa received the award for Customer Service; Bodegas La Val a la Calidad; Susana Pérez received the award for Institutional Management for her work as head of the Galician Business Association; Francisco Gómez-Ulla, for Professional Prestige; and Correos received the award for Digital Transformation for its initiative El Camino con Correos. The list of winners is completed by the following companies: Unicla, Business Excellence Award; España Restaurant, Tourism Excellence Award; Santiago Salgueiro, from La Pepita Burguer, Young Entrepreneur Award and the University of Vigo, Innovation Award.
