  • 26 Galician companies, along with Turismo de Galicia, Galicia Sustainable Destination, and Turismo de Sanxenxo, participated in the event.

Last week, the Galicia Tourism Cluster brought together 26 Galician companies, institutional representatives, and tour operators in two professional meetings organized in Valencia and Porto, with the aim of strengthening the visibility of Galicia in key source markets.

The meetings, held at the Veles e Vents building in Valencia and at the WOW space in Porto, served as a platform to showcase the diversity and quality of Galician tourism to more than 160 local tourism agents: 67 from Valencia and 95 from Portugal.

Twenty-six Galician tourism organizations participated in both workshops, along with representatives from Turismo de Galicia, Galicia Sustainable Destination, and Turismo de Sanxenxo, who presented Galicia as a distinctive, sustainable destination with high added value.

The president of the Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, led the institutional presentations at both events, which also included Carmen Pita, Director of Tourism Promotion of Galicia, and—at the Valencia event—Miguel Jiménez, President of AEVAV. Also joining the delegation on behalf of the Cluster were Jesús Picallo, Vice President of the Cluster; Alfonso Martínez, Treasurer; and Francisco González, former President of the Cluster.

Both events included presentations about the Galician destination and a tasting of typical food products led by chef Álvaro Fuentes of Meloxeira Praia. The experience was enhanced by the presence of five Galician wineries—Mar de Frades, Paco & Lola, Martín Códax, Terras Gauda, and Vionta—who offered their wines to pair with the events, highlighting the potential of Galician wine tourism.

At the close of each event, a raffle was held for tourism experiences contributed by participating Galician organizations, with the aim of promoting first-hand knowledge of Galicia among local operators.

With this initiative, the Galician Tourism Cluster continues to strengthen its promotion and marketing strategy based on the destination’s sustainability, quality, and authenticity through meetings and workshops for industry professionals.
