Plaza de Abastos of Santiago de Compostela hosted the official presentation of the brand Enoturismo Galicia, that the Cluster Turismo Galicia has promoted collaboration with the wine routes Ribeiro, Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra and Monterrei for the creation of an “umbrella brand” that will improve the promotion and marketing of wine of our territory.

As said Secretary of Cluster Turismo Galicia, Cesáreo Pardal, “Enoturismo Galicia born in order to adopt a common strategy by the Wine Routes that to publicize the wine heritage of the area, promoting jointly the wine and food”, since, at the end of the day, food and wine is the second most important motivation of tourists visiting Galicia.

Representatives of the four wine routes queparticipan of the initiative, Concepción Pousa Iglesias, vice president of the D.O Ribeiro, Jose Manuel Rodriguez Gonzalez, president of the Wine Route of Ribeira Sacra, the technical director of the Council on Monterrei, Luis Miguel Lopez Nunez and the president of the Wine Route Rias Baixas, Juan Gil Araujo, also they participated in the presentation ceremony, commenting on the uniqueness of each and the importance of working together in the promotion. Carmen Pita, the Tourism Galicia, was in charge of closing the event praising the teamwork of the sectors involved in tourism and wine tourism in our community.

Showcooking and contest
Following the presentation of the brand, the media attending the event enjoyed a catalyst pairing wines of four wine routes by the award-winning winemaker Nacho Costoya and a showcooking with elaborate tapas, for each of the wines by renowned chefs Kike Pineiro and Eloy Cancela of A Horta do Obradoiro.
In addition, the media and oenological and gastronomic bloggers who were present participated in a contest in which the winner was awarded a Fall Gastronomic package consisting of a menu, bed and breakfast for two and many other gifts. They can also win prizes from today until October 30 who upload a photo of experiences enjoyed some wine from these routes to RRSS (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) with #sorprendeatussentidos hasgstag #enoturismogalicia.
