The Executive Council of the Galician Tourism Cluster, led by its president, Cesáreo Pardal (the Galician Federation of Rural Tourism, FEGATUR, and the Campoemar Rural Tourism Professional Association), visited the Carlos Oroza Integrated Vocational Training Center in Pontevedra last week. The meeting reinforced the Cluster’s commitment to training as a strategic pillar for the present and future of the Galician tourism sector.

The commitment to training, retention, and recruitment of talent is a priority for the Cluster, fully aligned with the objectives set by the Galician Tourism Strategy 2030, which pursues a more professional, competitive, and inclusive tourism model.

Accompanying the president were Vice President Jesús Picallo (Professional Association of Entrepreneurs of the Camino de Santiago to Fisterra and Muxía, SOLPOR), Treasurer Alfonso Martínez Cacheda (Consortium of Tourism Entrepreneurs of Sanxenxo, CETS), Board Member José Francisco Real Castro (Provincial Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Lugo, APEHL), and members of the Cluster’s technical secretariat.

During the visit, the members of the Executive Council were able to learn about the center’s training programs and facilities, share their impressions with the teaching staff and management, strengthening the link between the tourism sector and the educational field.

The Carlos Oroza CIFP (Center for Professional Development) offers a wide range of training programs to prepare future professionals in the hospitality, tourism, and food industries. You can view its training catalog at the following link.
