The Provincial Association of Hotel and Tourism Businesses of Lugo will promote the gastronomic and tourist attractions of the province with a stand that will tour all the stage starts of the cycling race.

After several editions in which Galicia has been one of the main protagonists, the main Spanish cycling competition, La Vuelta, this year moves away from the Galician roads, but will not remain oblivious to the charms that this land offers to all those who come to it. Once again this year, and this is the tenth, the Provincial Association of Hotel and Tourism Businesses of Lugo, Apehl, (a member of the Galicia Tourism Cluster) will accompany the peloton with a stand of the campaign …And to eat, Lugo, which will serve to promote the gastronomic and tourist attractions of the province at the start of each stage of La Vuelta.

The initiative was presented in recent days by the president of Apehl, Jacobo García-Bobadilla; the second vice-president of the Xunta and councillor of Presidency, Justice and Sports, Diego Calvo; the director of Galicia Tourism, Nava Castro, and the director of La Vuelta, Javier Guillén, as well as other authorities and representatives of some of the collaborating entities. The regulatory boards of Ribeira Sacra, Ternera Gallega, Queso Arzúa-Ulloa, Queso de O Cebreiro, San Simón da Costa, Queso de Tetilla, Pataca de Galicia, Castaña de Galicia, Asociación de Avicultores da Raza Galiña de Mos (Avimós), Asociación de Criadores da Raza Ovella Galega (Asovega), Asociación de Criadores de la Raza Porcina Celta (Asoporcel), Fabas de Lourenzá, Armadores de Burela, Grelos de Galicia, Pementos de Mougán, Mel de Galicia, Asociación Provincial de Fabricantes de Pan de Lugo (Afapan), Galletas Daveiga, Aceite de Quiroga and the Asociación Nacional de Criadores de Raza Rubia Gallega (Acruga) will be present at the stand …And to eat, Lugo.

The city of Utrecht (Netherlands) is the starting point of this edition of La Vuelta, which will end on 11 September in Madrid and in which almost two hundred cyclists from 23 different teams will take part.
