The launch of the campaign “Galicia, the way to sustainability” is the first activity planned in the Xunta’s space after the inaugural event “Xacobeo 21-22. Walk to Galicia”.

 

The Galician stand at Fitur, the international tourism fair whose 42nd edition will be held from 19 to 23 January at the Ifema facilities, will host around fifty presentations aimed at publicising Galicia’s extensive and varied tourism offer. Administrations and public organizations at local, regional, provincial and autonomous community level, associative entities, companies and other diverse groups will have space and time at the stand of more than 1,000 square metres prepared by the Xunta for the first three days of the fair (those reserved for professionals in the sector) to present the initiatives with which they promote their destinations.

 

The Galicia Tourism Cluster will be there once again, and will also be in charge of opening the activities programmed at the Galician stand after the opening ceremony which will take place on Wednesday at midday under the title “Xacobeo 21-22. Walk to Galicia”. Then (13.30 hours) the Cluster will present the campaign “Galicia, the way to sustainability” and the products designed to consolidate the community as a safe and sustainable destination.

 

This event will be followed by three days of presentations organised by the tourism departments of municipalities such as A Coruña, Ferrol, Santiago de Compostela, Ourense, Pontevedra, Lugo, Salvaterra, Tui, Vilanova de Arousa, Pontecesures, Catoira, Valga and A Estrada; and organizations such as the Department of Environment, Territory and Housing, the First Vice-Presidency of the Xunta, the provincial councils of Ourense and A Coruña, the Inorde, Expourense, Portos de Galicia, the Consortium of Tourism Ribeira Sacra and the Association of Municipalities of Ordes.

 

Also claiming the attention of visitors will be entities such as the Network of Jewish Sites, the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Province of Lugo, the Sanxenxo Royal Yacht Club, the Association of Municipalities of the Winter Way, the Celta de Vigo , Fegatur, Asnauga, Classic Surf Pro, Rías Baixas Wine Route and Turexpo-Festur, as well as the company ElPulpo and the geodestinations Ferrolterra, Barbanza-Arousa, Ancares-Terras de Burón, Manzaneda Trevinca, Ría de Vigo Rías Baixas, O Ribeiro-Carballiño, O Salnés, A Mariña Lucense, As Mariñas, Ría de Muros and Noia, Celanova Baixa Limia, Costa da Morte, Terras de Santiago, and Condado Paradanta.
