SIMADA
The president of the Galician Tourism Cluster explained how SIMADA works. This system provides member companies with up-to-date data on occupancy, prices, and sales channels, allowing them to make strategic decisions and adapt to market trends in real time. The information comes primarily from the accommodations’ own management systems and is complemented by web scraping data from relevant tourism marketing sites and statistical information from the INE (National Institute of Statistics and Census) or AENA (National Institute of Statistics and Census).
SIMADA is a free system accessible to any accommodation company that provides its data. Data is always viewed in an aggregated and anonymous form, with full security and confidentiality guarantees. The information is accessed through an accessible and simple web application, designed so that any user can take full advantage of its features without the need for advanced technical knowledge.
The Cluster’s president and the Director of Tourism announced the signing of a collaboration agreement in the coming days, with a contribution of 72,600 euros from the Xunta (regional government) to advance the second phase of SIMADA’s implementation. This will allow for the incorporation of new features and extend the system’s reach to more companies through outreach and advisory activities.
