Jesús Picallo held several meetings with tourism authorities from Latin America and César Sánchez Ballesteros participated in a presentation of the technical conferences.

The Cluster also publicised its proposals and activities, such as the Galicia Destino Sostible Product Club, from its stand at the thermal tourism fair in Ourense.

The Galicia Tourism Clúster has had a prominent presence in the twentieth edition of Termatalia, the International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellness held last week in Ourense, which brought together professionals from 25 countries.

During the two days of activities at the Expourense exhibition centre, the Cluster had its own stand where it presented the actions carried out in the field of thermal tourism, also relating this sector to the new Galicia Destino Sostible ProductClub and thus highlighting the growing importance of sustainability for the development and future of the world of tourism. This was also the focus of the intervention made by the secretary of the Cluster, César Sánchez Ballesteros, during his participation on Friday 30th in one of the presentations of the technical conferences included in the Termatalia programme.

In addition, the presence for a few days in Ourense of representatives of territories with great potential for the Galician tourism sector was also used by representatives of the Cluster to hold various meetings. During the opening day on Thursday 29th, the vice-president of the Cluster, Jesús Picallo, met both with the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Panama, Denise Guillén, and with the Uruguayan delegation, composed among others by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Remo Monzeglio; the ambassador in Spain, Ana Teresa Ayala, and the Consul General in Galicia, Ramiro Rodriguez Bausero. Precisely, the representatives of Uruguay also took advantage of their presence in Ourense to apply to host the next edition of Termatalia, thus recovering the annual alternation between the city of Las Burgas and a South American country as the venue of the fair.

Jesús Picallo was also able to talk with other representatives of the world of tourism from the other side of the Atlantic, such as the Ministers of Tourism and Cultures, Gustavo Luna, and Health, Juan Carlos Vergara, from the Argentine province of La Rioja.
