The Galician trade mission will take part in WTM activities, which will take place from November 1 to 3.
The Galician tourism sector has once again responded positively to the call made by the Galician Tourism Cluster to participate in the next edition of the WTM, the major tourism fair to be held in London from 1 to 3 November. Representatives of more than twenty incoming and accommodation companies are part of the trade mission promoted by the Cluster that will travel to the British capital to hold business meetings, establish contacts, promote Galicia’s tourism offer and learn about the latest developments in the sector on an international level. The Galician representation will leave Santiago de Compostela on Sunday 31 October and will return on 3 November.
The Cluster’s trip will enable Galicia to be present at an event which, together with Fitur (Madrid) and the ITB Berlin, are the main meeting points for the tourism sector of all those held Europe. This edition of WTM London is expected to be attended by representatives from more than 65 countries from all five continents. Thousands of delegates from areas as diverse as official tourism institutions, hotel chains, travel agencies, cruise companies, major attractions and other entities and companies in the sector will meet again at a fair that comes with important new features.
After the virtual format in which the 2020 edition had to be held due to the pandemic, WTM London is opting for a hybrid format in 2021, recovering the usual on-site format prior to covid, but combining it with a virtual edition to be held on 8 and 9 November.
Europe, with almost 30 countries present, will be the continent with the largest presence at a fair that hopes to capitalise on the growing consumer confidence in tourism after the pandemic, serve as a boost for the sector and lay the foundations for the development of new and innovative initiatives that will underpin its growth.
