The fair to be held in Ourense on 18 and 19 November includes a workshop with the participation of four specialised wholesalers.
The active tourism sector will meet on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 November at Expourense (Ourense) to celebrate the fourth edition of Sportur Galicia. Its organisers see this year’s edition as an opportunity to extend the dissemination of Galicia as a safe destination to the field of sport and nature tourism, and to turn these elements into a gateway to the community for visitors beyond the usual holiday seasons.
To this end, they have designed an extensive programme of activities which includes a workshop as a meeting point for operators and agencies specialising in active tourism and representatives of the destinations participating in the fair. They will be able to get to know the proposals of the four wholesalers present at the fourth edition of Sportur Galicia: Portugal Green Walks, Galicia Holiday, Evasiona and Inturismo.
In addition, Sportur’s programme of activities includes an exhibition space with the participation of some thirty companies and organisations from such diverse fields as travel agencies, hostels, gyms, healthy eating, personal care, sports federations and clubs, sports equipment brands, specialised shops and thermal tourism.
Likewise, those attending this active and sports tourism show will be able to enjoy a programme of sporting activities that includes a virtual shooting simulator, indoor rowing, hockey exhibitions, athletics and cycling workshops, among others. The training section of Sportur will be articulated around the professional technical conferences that will bring together more than a dozen speakers from the world of sports practice and sports associations.
Sportur is organised by Expourense with the support of the General Secretariat for Sport, the Galicia Tourism Agency and the Ourense Provincial Council, and with the collaboration of the Ourense City Council. The Galicia Tourism Cluster also contributes its grain of sand to the organisation as a member of the advisory committee.
