The State Secretariat for Tourism has announced the launch of the 26th edition of the Anfritriones program, a key initiative for developing quality in the tourism sector. The first training sessions began on April 7th as part of a revamped model that reinforces its commitment to specialized training and professional growth.

Under the new name “Hosts. Training and Tourism Talent,” the program is updated in line with the objectives set out in Spain’s Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2030 and within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan. Among the main new features is the implementation of a new digital platform, a more intuitive and secure virtual campus, which will allow users to access an updated content catalog with more training resources and new features aimed at facilitating the learning experience and collaboration among participants.

Currently, the program includes 10 training courses in sustainability, 7 in innovation, 1 in governance, 1 in accessibility, 25 in digital skills, 3 in personal skills, 18 in organizational management, 1 in tourist destinations, and 6 in clients, with details to be confirmed regarding those focused on quality, and possible further updates.

This new edition is aimed at a broad spectrum of tourism professionals, both public and private: accommodation staff, catering, travel agencies, transportation, tour guides, active tourism companies, event organizers, and other profiles related to visitor service.

The objective is to strengthen the qualifications and skills of the human capital that underpins the tourism experience, providing tools for more efficient, personalized service adapted to the new challenges of the sector.
