Continuing with Proturga’s initiative to promote the Way of St. James among the tourist sector, Facendo o Camiño will celebrate its sixth day dedicated to the Route of the Sea of Arousa and the River Ulla, which will allow participants to learn or deepen their knowledge of a different itinerary that allows them to reach Compostela through a Jacobean route that combines walking and sailing.

The day, which will take place this Saturday starting from the Carril fish market, where a shellfish workshop will be offered by the shellfish workers of Amarcarril, will include a visit to the island of Cortegada and the boat trip up to Pontecesures on the Traslatio Route by boat “Ruta de Mar de Arousa: singular maritime and river itinerary”.

The 20 places of the activity are already covered and there is a waiting list to participate in this different and singular Way of St. James that allows us to go through the singularities of one of the great Galician estuaries. These familiarisation trips aimed at professionals from the Galician tourist sector and promoted by Proturga under the O Teu Xacobeo programme will continue this month of March and April with days to explore the Primitive Way, the Via de la Plata, the French Way and the Fisterra-Muxía Way in greater depth.
