In order to implement new prevention measures to address the health crisis caused by COVID19 , the Xunta de Galicia has approved a new measure that requires travellers arriving in Galicia, whether resident or non-resident in our territory, to communicate their data to SERGAS if they have been in the last 14 calendar days before their arrival in any of the territories listed in the list of areas with high prevalence of coronavirus. This list, also included in the same DOGA ( https://www.xunta.gal/dog/Publicados/2020/20200728/AnuncioC3K1-270720-2_gl.html ) will be updated every 15 days and currently includes five autonomous communities – Catalonia, Aragon, Navarre, the Basque Country and La Rioja – and 137 countries, including Portugal. All these travellers must communicate their contact details to SERGAS within a maximum period of 24 hours, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms compatible with the disease. To this end, they must fill in the form available at https://coronavirus.sergas.gal/viaxeiros or provide this information by calling 881 00 20 21.

The aim is to have useful information so that, in the event of an outbreak, the origin can be monitored and the most effective control measures carried out, as most outbreaks are of external origin.

For this measure to be effective, tourist establishments in Galicia must inform users of this duty and place information posters at the reception desk and in visible places in the establishments. The Galician Tourism Cluster provides downloadable models of these posters in three languages (Spanish, Portuguese and English)
