The Xunta de Galicia has decided to open a second call of the program O Teu Xacobeo, endowed with 3.3 million euros in order to continue the process of decentralizing the celebration of the Holy Year and encourage citizen participation. With this objective, the new investment joins the one that was already underway, adding a total of 8 million euros aimed at this objective.
The programme, which is open until the end of this year, includes three differentiated lines. The first, which has a budget of 500,000 euros, is intended for local entities in which priority will be given to municipalities with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants. The second line, endowed with a contribution of 1 million euros, will boost the projects of SMEs and individuals. And the last of the lines will allow, thanks to 1.8 million euros, to start the proposals born of public or personal non-profit organizations.
More than 300 projects
In the first call of O Teu Xacobeo more than 300 projects were awarded, of which 41% have already been carried out or are underway with initiatives in the four provinces and in more than 140 Galician town councils.
