Resources

  • The deadline is open until December 20.

People interested in setting up beach bars, renting hammocks or umbrellas, or managing nautical-sports facilities on beaches for the next summer season can now request the necessary permits from the General Directorate of the Coast and the Sea.

The application submission period, which began on Monday, November 11 with its publication in the Official State Gazette, will be open until December 20. Applications submitted outside of this period will not be accepted.

Requirements and documentation

To process the application, interested parties must present a certificate proving that they are up to date with tax and Social Security obligations. In addition, it will be necessary to provide a proposal detailing the area to be occupied, indicating the square meters required, and a plan that includes the demarcation line of the maritime-terrestrial public domain.

They must also include a budget for the facilities, a study of the expected benefits and a basic project.

If the business involves activities related to boats, it will only be allowed on urban beaches and always with a favorable report from the corresponding federation.

Authorization conditions

Authorizations for these seasonal services can be extended up to a maximum of four years. However, the facilities must be dismantled at the end of each season within the authorized period.

With this call, Costas seeks to regulate and coordinate the sustainable use of beaches, guaranteeing a balance between economic activities and the preservation of the natural environment.
