On November 12, the Reveriano Soutullo Auditorium in Ponteareas will host the presentation of the training program “Smart Tourism: AI Tools for Sector Transformation”, an initiative promoted by the Galicia Tourism Cluster, in collaboration with the Pontevedra Provincial Council and Turismo de Galicia, with the aim of bringing the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI) to tourism professionals.

 

The event, which will take place from 10:00 to 14:00, will bring together experts and representatives from entities such as Deepsense, Cloud District, Neuromobile, the University of Santiago de Compostela and Crowe, among others, who will analyze how AI can improve the management, competitiveness and sustainability of Galician tourism.

  • Training Program

 

In addition to this opening session, the training program includes four in-person sessions that will take place between November and December, with a total duration of 12 hours:

 

  1. Wednesday, November 26.
  2. Thursday, November 27.
  3. Wednesday, December 17.
  4. Thursday, December 18.

 

These sessions, aimed at professionals, managers, and teams from Galician tourism companies, will provide practical knowledge of the potential of artificial intelligence in key areas such as marketing, customer service, communication, data analysis, and process automation.

 

The course will cover everything from the fundamentals of AI to the use of specific tools such as ChatGPT and other generative models, as well as real-world success stories, best practices, and legal and ethical considerations. No prior technical experience is required, as the content is designed so that participants can immediately apply what they learn to their daily professional work.
