• Babadiva, AN sustainable Project, Hotel Casa Savi, Restaurante El Oviedo, Hotel Rías Altas and Camping Islas Cíes are the six new companies that are already part of the Galicia Destino Sostible club.
• This initiative currently has more than 150 experiences and more than 85 member companies, and is still open to receiving new members.

The Galicia Destino Sostible brand continues to grow, this time adding up to six new additions. During the meeting last Thursday, January 11, the evaluation committee agreed to accept the membership applications presented by those responsible for Babadiva, AN sustainable Project, Hotel Casa Savi, Restaurante El Oviedo, Hotel Rías Altas and Camping Islas Cíes.

These companies join an increasingly larger group that includes the travel agency, restaurant, accommodation and complementary tourism sectors. Currently the club offers more than 150 experiences that come from more than 85 different companies.

The Sustainable Destination Galicia Product Club is an initiative launched in 2022 by the Galicia Tourism Cluster with the support and financing of the Xunta de Galicia. Its objective is to integrate and enhance the Community’s tourism offering that contributes to the sustainable growth of the destination, and make it a reference at the national and international level. This brand is articulated as a tourism product club that integrates the entire Galician tourism offer that respects the environment, culture and society.

Through its website galiciadestinosostible.com it connects tourists and companies, facilitating access to all of Galicia’s sustainable tourism offering. On this portal you can find everything from routes by camper, boat, bicycle or on foot, to tourist packages that combine adventure, sports, gastronomy, wine culture and accommodation.

If you have a company and want to be part of the club, you can request your membership through the form enabled on the website. Remember that if you have any official sustainability certification (S from ICTE, Biosphere, Green Key, IU Ecolabel, Green Globe21, Travellife, Rainforest Alliance Certified, Green Star from the Michelin Guide…) etc., or an environmental certification (ESO 14000, EMAS…) you can join directly, since these certifications are considered a qualifying requirement. If you do not have any, you can join if you meet 100% of the mandatory requirements and at least 33% of those considered valuable.
