The tourist brand ‘Galicia Sustainable Destination’ adds eight new additions. During the evaluation committee meeting this Tuesday, September 3, the requests made by the responsible representatives of the companies ViandoTreks, Casa Amando, Hotel Spa Galatea, Casas do Campo, Pensión Lanas Palomas, Casa Rural Penaquente, Granja Labrada Bed&Horses and Apartamentos Turísticos Rosa Jove.

These entities join a group that includes the travel agency, restaurant, accommodation and complementary tourism sectors. Now, the club offers more than 149 sustainable experiences that come from more than 110 different companies.

The Product Club

The Galicia Sustainable Destination Product Club, an initiative promoted by the Galician Tourism Cluster with the support of the Xunta de Galicia in 2022, has as its main objective to highlight and integrate the Galician tourism offer that promotes the sustainable development of the destination, seeking position itself as a reference both nationally and internationally. This tourism product club covers various facets of the Galician offer, promoting respect for the environment, culture and society.

Through its online platform, galiciadestinostible.com, the club serves as a meeting point between tourists and companies, facilitating access to the wide range of sustainable tourism offerings in Galicia. From camper, boat, bicycle or walking routes, to tourist packages that offer adventure, sports, gastronomy, wine culture and accommodation, the portal has a variety of options for all tastes and preferences.

Accession process

To join ‘Galicia Sustainable Destination’, companies must meet at least one qualifying requirement (sustainability certification; Fair’n Green; Green Star of the MICHELIN Guide; membership in the Slow Tourism North of Galicia project, or the Product Club Ecotourism of Spain or an environmental certification: ESO 14000, EMAS, etc.) or 100% of the mandatory and 33% of the evaluable.

Membership can be requested through the website galiciadestinostible.com. Once the advisory committee accepts the membership, the company will manage its offers from the portal and will enjoy the advantages of belonging to the product club for free.
