The Michelin Guide awards five Michelin Keys to three Galician hotels

  • Pepe Vieira Relais & Châteaux, Casa Beatnik Hotel and A Quinta da Auga Hotel & Spa are the three recognized Galician establishments.

At the end of 2023, the prestigious Michelin Guide announced the introduction of the Michelin Key, a special distinction intended to recognize establishments that offer exceptional hotel and travel experiences, which would be implemented this spring.

The Michelin Key evaluates establishments based on five key criteria: being a destination in itself; excellence in architecture and design; offer high quality service, comfort and maintenance; individuality, reflection of personality and authenticity; and ability to offer an extraordinary experience in value for money.

At the end of April, at an event held at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando (Madrid), the Michelin Guide revealed the most outstanding hotels, awarding them one, two or three Keys.

In total, 97 Michelin Keys were delivered in Spain. The recognized Galician establishments were Casa Beatnik Hotel (Vedra, Santiago de Compostela) and Pepe Vieira Relais & Châteaux (Raxó, Pontevedra), with 2 Michelin Keys; and A Quinta da Auga Hotel & Spa (Santiago de Compostela), with one key. These establishments have been recognized as ideal places for a special stay, demonstrating Galicia’s commitment to excellence in hospitality and tourism.
