The “7 days, 7 parks” campaign will encourage visitors to enjoy Galicia’s natural heritage by giving away 20 weekend stays.
The Atlantic Islands National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of Galicia and the six natural parks in the region (Corrubedo and Lagoas de Carregal e Vixán; Baixa Limia and Serra do Xurés, Fragas do Eume, Monte Aloia, O Invernadeiro, and Serra da Enciña da Lastra) form an immense environmental and landscape heritage that the Xunta de Galicia wants to promote through a new campaign promoted by the Regional Ministry of Environment, Territory and Housing.
The iniciative “7 days, 7 parks” aims to encourage the visit and enjoyment of these protected natural areas during 2022. To this end, as the Regional Minister Ángeles Vázquez revealed at Fitur, her department will give away weekend stays for two people in hotels located in the area of influence of these parks to the first 20 visitors who visit the six natural parks and the national park before 30 September this year.
To take part in the initiative and be eligible for one of the 20 prizes, visitors will have to visit the visitor and interpretation centres of any of these natural areas, request a “passport” designed for the campaign and, during each visit, tick the box corresponding to the area in question. Once the passport has been completed, a copy must be sent by e-mail to the address provided by the Regional Ministry.
The campaign is now open and visits to the parks can be made at any time of the year, although in the case of the Invernadeiro and the Atlantic Islands it is necessary to make an appointment in advance. Moreover, in the latter area the visit also depends on the season of operation of the maritime transport.
