Turismo de Galicia will allocate almost 180,000 euros to 14 tourism training grants

With the objective of offering specialized training in the promotion of Destino Galicia, the Xunta de Galicia has authorized a budget for the call in 2017 of a total of 14 scholarships for training for graduates. With an investment of 178,477.3 euros, the scholarships, which will be awarded in competitive competition, will be developed both inside and outside Galicia. Thus, five of them will be destined to London, Paris, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Los Angeles, being considered the main markets emitting tourism for Galicia.

The objective of these scholarships is to promote a specialized practical offer that will allow its beneficiaries to be trained as experts in the field of Galician tourism promotion, working to improve the attractiveness of tourist flows to our community as well as working in the improvement of marketing And diffusion of the tourist products of Galicia. The remaining nine will be carried out in the departments of Tourism of Galicia, one of them will be directed to the Area of ​​Studies and Research of Tourism of Galicia, crucial department to strengthen Galicia as a more competitive tourist destination. The trainee, in this case, will learn about the treatment and analysis of tourist data. The remaining eight exchanges will last for six months and will be for specialized training in tourism promotion and information and will be destined to the tourist offices of the cities of Santiago, with three places, and A Coruña, Pontevedra, Vigo, Lugo and Ourense, with a place in each case. These tourist information offices provide an important service for tourists and visitors and help to project the image of Galicia abroad. Turismo de Galicia summons these training grants with the aim of allowing graduates access to supervised practices that update and improve their knowledge and skills in tourism.

These scholarships are called on an annual basis with the aim of further improving the competitiveness of the Galicia destination and its call will be announced through the Diario Oficial de Galicia.
