The Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH), in collaboration with the Confederación Española de Hoteles y Alojamientos Turísticos (CEHAT) has drawn up a list of the main guidelines that tourist accommodation establishments must take into account in order to prepare for the sector’s reopening.

This document, elaborated on the basis of the order SND/399/2020 of May 9, 2020 of the Ministry of Health, to the guide published by the Ministry of Health and elaborated by the ICTE “Measures for the reduction of the contagion by the coronavirus SARSCoV-2” and the elaborated by HOSBEC “Guide HOSBEC for the reopening post Covid-19 in tourist lodgings” includes all the measures that must be taken to contribute the greater security, guarantee and confidence in customers and workers, certifying the minimization of hygiene and health risks compared to Covid-19. It includes the obligations published in the BOE for Phase I, such as the recommendations of the general protocol.

The check list is eminently practical and can be used for any type of hotel or accommodation establishment, whether large or small, chain or independent. This work is being coordinated at a national level by the ICTE, so that it is unique and coherent, and in this way, can be homogenized at a European and international level.
