Camino de Santiago

School Itinerant Tourism Galicia continues this October and November by improving the training of the hoteliers of the Camino de Santiago through its training modules, the first course was held on site of the Hotel Management School of Galicia in director and Strategic Plan of the Camino de Santiago, which includes the program “Professionalization in the Way.”

The aim is to improve the quality of room service restaurants del Camino, focusing on quality and techniques in customer service, knowledge of the different types of customers and in the treatment of complaints and claims. This training also allows restaurateurs, big supporters of the Camino de Santiago, have needed to optimally meet the pilgrims tools. This course will be repeated in the Casa da Cultura de Portomarín on 17 October and classroom training that Terra de Melide Entrepreneurs Association (ASETEM) Melide on 24 October. Restaurateurs interested in attending the course, held in the morning, can register through the website CSHG.

Training in November
Also during this year there will be new courses for the Camino de Santiago restaurants. The importance of Galician cuisine in the Jacobean culture in Galicia and the Menu del Peregrino as an enhancer of local products will be held in November this year. The first seeks to highlight different menu options made with Galician products and how to optimize manufacturing processes and provisioning to make a profitable deal. The second wants to value gastronomy of Galicia in the Camino de Santiago. The courses will be held on Monday mornings in Portomarín (day 7), Melide (day 14) and Cee (day 21).
