Camino de Santiago

Attendees receive in a participatory manner the tools necessary to provide a quality service to travelers and pilgrims

The Department of Culture and Tourism, through the Galician Tourism Agency, is developing training workshops on business opportunities in the care of pilgrims in different geodestinos and municipalities linked to the Camino de Santiago with the intention of providing the necessary tools for a quality service.

Portomarín and Fisterra have already hosted these workshops, which will continue during the first quarter of 2019 and in which all professionals who are in direct and indirect contact with or serve tourists and pilgrims can participate. Included are both hotel services personnel and professionals in services related to tourism, transport, tourist guides or staff of tourist information offices, among others.

Those attending the awareness-raising and training sessions will receive and address, in a participative manner, theoretical-practical training on the provision of services and the basic rules of attention to travelers, good practices in customer service, elements involved in the tourism experience, importance of the image of the environment, the business and staff or on the management and treatment of complaints and claims.

Calendar will continue in the first quarter
With this training workshop, the Consellería de Cultura y Turismo (Department of Culture and Tourism) continues to deepen in the quality of the attention to the travellers who approach Galicia. Those interested in participating can send an email to registro@dosespacios.com or call 698 795 875. The calendar of workshops will continue during the first quarter of 2019 in different municipalities and geodestinos. The dates will be available on the website www.turismo.gal.
