Turismo de Galicia summoned the most important tour operators of these two countries in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney

With the objective of maintaining and deepening contact with the main tourist travel companies in New Zealand and Australia, Turismo de Galicia held presentations of the Galician tourism offer in the cities of Aucklan, Melbourne and Sydney. In addition, tour operators in the city of Melbourne and Sidney approached the Galician tourist offer in the presentations organized by Turismo de Galicia in collaboration with the Spanish Tourist Office in Singapore.

In these presentations, which were attended by more than a hundred local operators, Turismo de Galicia emphasized the dissemination of tourism products related to nature and culture, as well as gastronomy and catering services of the Galician community, without Forget the Camino de Santiago, which continues to be a pole of attraction to our territory. Not surprisingly in 2016, 5,219 Australian and New Zealand pilgrims arrived in Compostela, an increase of 14.7% compared to 2015.

Emerging market
Australia and New Zealand are one of the most interesting emerging markets for the Galician Community, given the increase of travelers that are registered and that in all Spain already exceed 200,000 per year.
